The Brief
La Cocina is a concept for a food truck specializing in Honduran cuisine. Located in the tiny island Útila, Honduras, La Cocina serves authentic local dishes at affordable prices for the community of the island, bringing a sense of unity that is so traditional of Honduran culture among its clients and staff.
Why?
Many Honduran residents of lower economic means have bad eating habits due to lack of access to nutritious meals. The nature of their work doesn’t give them long enough time to go back home and have a decent meal either. La Cocina is meant to alleviate this issue by providing easy access to traditional, delicious meals that keep in mind the time limitations of its clients.

Honduran residents of lower economic means or working class people struggling with maintaining a balanced diet.
An authentic Honduran experience.
The menu design and language is influenced by the friendly and colorful personality of Honduran people. Its logo, illustrations, and type treatment are combined together to offer clients an unpretentious sense of authenticity.
The food truck would be located in an area that is easily accessible from the urban areas of the community, where most of the workers are concentrated.
